At East Middle School, we emphasize critical thinking as one of the 21st century skills that students need to succeed in modern society. Our STEAM2 classes (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, & Medical) offer an inter-disciplinary style of learning that is student-centered and project-based. Students learn by following the Science & Engineering Practices, applying scientific inquiry, and innovation skills. The curriculum provides practice in problem solving, discovery exploration, and collaboration, which facilitates student understanding of real-world applications. Student Engagement and Exploration/ Steam2 classes will be offered every semester. Classes run from 1:57 to 3:07 on Wednesdays.
